Jeffrey Chamberlain

Jeffrey Chamberlain began his legal career in the litigation department of Harris, Beach and Wilcox, a large law firm in Rochester, New York. He later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Monroe County (Rochester), New York, as Counsel to the New York State Director of Criminal Justice, in the Governor's Office, and as chief Counsel to the New York State Police, a sworn police officer position. Since 1989, Mr. Chamberlain has practiced privately in Albany, New York. He has extensive experience in labor and employment law with an emphasis on the Fair Labor Standards Act. He also practices administrative law, general litigation and appeals, and does law enforcement consulting and police training. Mr. Chamberlain has written or co-written many professional articles and books, including the standard reference on New York's weapons and firearms laws. He is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York. Mr. Chamberlain graduated from Colgate University and received his law degree cum laude from the Faculty of Law and Jurisprudence of the State University of New York, where he was Senior Editor of the Buffalo Law Review. Mr. Chamberlain is also a graduate of the National Law Institute at the FBI Academy, Quantico, Virginia, and in 1988 received the New York State Bar Association criminal justice award for "outstanding police contribution to the criminal justice system."

Alan S. Kaufman

Alan S. Kaufman was until 1995 the Assistant Attorney General in Charge of the Litigation Bureau of the New York State Department of Law, at the Capitol in Albany, New York, which position he held for over ten years. In this capacity he supervised civil litigation brought against the State of New York, and personally handled a substantial case load of the more complex and significant suits. Mr. Kaufman also served as a trial attorney in the Attorney General's Office, and spent several years as a litigation attorney at Kelley, Drye & Warren, a large New York City law firm. Mr. Kaufman is a Columbia Law School graduate, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Editor in Chief of the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law. He is also a magna cum laude graduate of Yeshiva University, in New York City.

Robert A. Jones

Robert A. Jones is a former New York State Trooper, where he held the ranks of Captain and Assistant Counsel in Charge of Civil Litigation. He retired from the State Police with more than 20 years of police service including legal, command, investigatory and operational asignments. Mr. Jones received his law degree in 1983 from Western New England College School of Law and his bachelor's degree from Bryant College in Rhode Island in 1977. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy (153rd Session) and the FBI National Law Institute (1st Session)
